Magda Portal was a prominent Peruvian writer, feminist, and political activist. She was born on June 27, 1900, in Lima, Peru, and passed away on July 27, 1989.
Portal was a leading figure in the Peruvian feminist movement and was one of the founders of the Peruvian Feminist League. She was also a member of the Aprista movement, a left-wing political party in Peru, and was actively involved in political activities throughout her life.
As a writer, Portal is best known for her poetry, which explores themes such as love, social justice, and the struggle for women's rights. She also wrote essays and plays, and her work was widely published in literary magazines and newspapers in Peru and other Latin American countries.
