Who is that girl ?

Born and reborn near the sea, Paula Grande gives her all to her music and with it fills the whole space that surrounds her. Self-taught, courageous and open to all influences, her musical style radiates all these qualities as it oscillates between jazz, soul and hip-hop.⁣⁣Described as a "Doctor in musical research” by the critics (Diari de Girona), Paula Grande has journeyed with her music and art through much of the world, and on her travels has been awarded international prizes such as Special Recognition Prize at the prestigious Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition at the 2013 Montreux Jazz Festival, and the prize for best free repertory at the Jazz Voices festival in Lithuania in 2014.⁣⁣

In 2014 she was awarded a grant by the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation, whose jury included Quincy Jones, for a residency at the Cité Internationalle Universitaire of Paris in the Fondation Suisse-Pavillon le Corbusier, which she was able to continue the following year. Also in 2015, she was chosen to form part of the Montreux Jazz Academy, along with 11 other young talents chosen from throughout the world, where she worked alongside and shared a stage with artists such as Lee Ritenour, Eric Hardland, Patti Austin, Charles Lloyd, Erik Truffaz and Bugge Wesseltoft, amongst many others. She was also included in the programme of the Montreux Jazz Festival.⁣⁣⁣⁣
