Passion is the energy of life. Without it, there is no point in even trying to get things done.
Easier said than done. Right?
Because some might say that sometimes, due to circumstances, obligations or external restrictions, it’s not that simple to feel the passion for what you have to do. This is partly true, but even if you don’t like what you are about to perform, even in the worst-case scenario, we must find our passion in life in order to manage to achieve the best result possible. Sacrifices are part of who we are in this journey called life. However, we have to find what drives our intentions and motives every day. What makes us wake up every single day and helps us navigate time.
For some, their passion is their job, or their family, their hobbies, knowledge, music, art, travelling, the world, religion… whatever you wanna call it. Just find yours. Embrace it and squeeze it to the max. Find new ways of passion, don’t limit it to one. There is a wide variety of possibilities out there. Be open to them all. And experiment, try them out again and again. Make it fun. HAVE FUN. We have somehow lost our social sense of humor. We don’t laugh as we used to. We don’t have as much fun as we used to.
So, women, let’s try harder. Because as I said before, without passion in who we are as a whole, we just become dull life robots, and just right then, we lose our identities to be unique and special.
Passion is the guiding light and energy of our whole existence. Protect and nurture it. It’s ENTIRELY UP TO YOU.

I must tell you all, I love this job I am doing for Coachability Foundation. I am so grateful for the extraordinary women I am meeting. Ami is our 7th Womenpreneur of the series Womenpreneur Project, and let me be clear, she is astonishing. Ami is the magical result of a union of stories, cultures, adventures and passion. You just have to see how she is constantly smiling, with her contagious and loving smile.
I think of Ami as a dream deliverer, a woman who makes dreams come true. Someone who is constantly surrounded by hopes and wishes and imagination. And to be honest, getting to be the one who makes all of these possible must feel awesome. She is also a perfectionist in the best of senses. She likes to do things the best way possible and therefore, she is impeccable with details. She sure thinks there is always a time, a place and a way of doing things, and she just wants to find them. Because for her, it is important to flow with life, in a passionate way, full of love and determination.
She is a woman who adores being a woman. She loves life and motherhood, fashion, novelties, adventures…and her job, she is crazy in love with her job. She is not afraid of second times because for her doing what feels right, what she likes is more important than playing safe. She is all in when it comes to innovating and discovering anything with the potential to become bright and great.
Amy is a breeze of fresh air in a world of pragmatical and rigid standards. She has a special light that some might consider idealistic and hopelessly romantic. I call it special and very valuable, because anyone brave enough to say she is in love with love out loud, without any limits or reservations; a woman whose motto is passion all around, this woman is the best example of the type woman who just follows her heart and puts all her power and strength in absolutely everything she does. I admire Ami for being real and trustful to her inner self.
It's simply trying to follow your heart and stick to your instincts. They will guide you to whatever you are meant to .
1.- INTRODUCE YOURSELF, WHO IS AMI BOJANG?
Ami Bojang is the dreamer behind www.amibojangweddings.com Passionate in everything I do and deeply in love with love stories.
Born and raised in Barcelona, from mixed African and Spanish origins.
Sharing my life with a 4 years old princess called Alaska who fills every day with joy. Living in the Netherlands for the last 15 years.
2. COULD YOU PRESENT YOUR PROJECT TO ME? WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
I have always been working for the corporate, always in big and international companies. Learning and growing. Living abroad for many years and with a personal goal in mind. I wanted to be a mom, my job was quite demanding at that time and doctors advised me to take a break and focus only on my goal. I did so but I thought it would be a good moment to think about a career change. Listen to my heart and do another thing I am also passionate about. I've been living abroad for many years and wanted to do something that would allow me to connect with my passion, my roots, and my heart.
Passion: in love with love stories, love weddings, love organize, love social contact.
Roots: destination Spain, I could travel and work in Spain being based in Amsterdam.
Heart: destination Lisbon. My heart is in Lisbon since I discovered it back in 2010. Always wanted to move there and visiting the city more than once a year.
So, I decided to become a destination wedding planner. Taking in consideration the 3 elements that I mentioned above and adding the maturity and professional experience that I have gained during all years in the corporate world we have as a result a great combo!
I quit my job in the corporate. I trained as a wedding planner. After my course I got pregnant and I decided to enjoy my pregnancy and the first 2 years of my little one and then I launched my website and I started working as a destination wedding planner.
3.- WHAT IS THE BIGGEST DIFFICULTY YOU HAVE ENCOUNTERED AS AN ENTREPRENEUR, AND AS A FEMALE ENTREPRENEUR? AND HOW DID YOU SOLVE IT?
Well.. nothing is easy.
At the beginning I thought that would be easy, I thought I would start working straight away.. Then I realize there are plenty of wedding planners, destination wedding planners, pop up wedding planners, and anything -wedding planners you might look for specialized in all kinds of weddings.
So as a female entrepreneur and being a single mom of a not even 2 years old when I decided to start, it was the lack of time and the time to really focus on the project. You really need to be consistent, with your social media strategy, photoshoots.. etc. Meeting with clients most of the time can be at hours/days that kids are not at daycare. Meeting with vendors, it is during working hours but in my case vendors are far and involve travelling.
A good plan is mandatory to succeed, and of course stick to it. :-)
4.- THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM THE WORLD OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP? WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO START THEIR OWN PATH?
Maybe it is a topic. but never give up! If this is what you really want, fight for it and pursue your dream.
There are competitors everywhere and with everything, It will be times more difficult or easy than others. but we are all unique, and we all have something unique to offer. whatever entrepreneurship is about. We only need to find our place. and be consistent. I will never get tired of repeating that.
We, as entrepreneurs need to be up to date with everything related to our project and only this way we can prepared for what is to come.
Networking, meet as many people as possible in your area. exchange ideas, learn from others..
5.- DO YOU THINK THAT CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION ARE A KEY IN YOUR OWN BUSINESS / PROJECT? HOW DO YOU USE THEM?
Both! Wanted to say specially creativity.. but innovation is also important.. we are living in a world that everything is changing, moving really fast. what we did the day before yesterday is out of date..
I need the creativity to design dream weddings, dreamy decorations to surprise my clients and therefore my clients surprise their guests..
And I need innovation to communicate with them, to make the process smooth as possible, in terms of showing venues, payments, booking flights, hotels and being in touch with all the parts involved in a destination wedding. (are many!)
6.- CAN YOU TELL ME THE NAME OF A WOMAN YOU ADMIRE AS A BUSINESS ROLE MODEL AND AS A WOMAN?
I admire any woman who is willing to leave her comfort zone to chase a dream!
