Coachability Foundation support female micro-entrepreneurs in Africa. ❛ Women have long been underestimated and underutilized in many societies, including across Africa. Now, through hard work, global commitments, and localized training initiatives, #womenentrepreneurs are making their mark on the economies of Africa. While gender equality isn’t yet an everyday reality, initiatives like our projects (supporting micro-entrepreneurs project) mark important steps forward.
Women in Europe currently earn on average 17.5% less than men. This inequality has an impact throughout women’s lives and especially when they retire as lower salaries lead to lower pensions and a higher risk of poverty in older age. Equal Pay Day is the symbolic day dedicated to raising awareness of the gender pay gap. In the United States, this date symbolizes how far into the year the average women must work in order to earn what the average man earns in the previous year
It is crucial that women’s voices are heard and their work on the ground is recognised, valued and supported. Decisions should be made with them, not for them.
