Here's five things you may not know about the continent.
✔ Africa is a made up of 54 countries. More than any other continent.
✔ Africa contains the world’s largest hot desert. The Sahara is 9,2 million Km2.That’s almost as big as The United States.
✔ Over 25% the world’s languages are spoken in Africa. The continent is home to over 2.000 languages.
✔ Africa has the youngest population of any continent. 60% of Africans are under 25.
✔ A third of the world’s gold in circulation come from one small part of South Africa. The Witwatersrand gold rush to the establishment of the city of Johannesburg. The rand was named after the area.
